Published in Somerset Studios
Thursday was a fun day. I returned home to find the latest Somerset Studios magazine in my mailbox, as they had published 2 of my cards from the call for art for Alice in Wonderland. I had taken pictures before submitting them and would like to share them here and to mention that the stamps are from Oxford Impressions, as the stamp credits are missing in the magazine writeup. Of course, their photography is much better than mine and they staged them really nicely, but you get the idea.

Rosemary - love these and they are so timely with the 3D movie coming out... I really love the background with the torn paper on your second card!
Congratulations, Rosemary!!! They are wonderful!!!!
Thanks KAT and Wanda.
Kat, I was reminded a while back of the Tim Holtz technique of using inks to unify and antique disparate papers by Inge http://web.me.com/pinkepinke/pinkepinke/Blog/Blog.html on a post she made called "going steampunk" . It just seemed to work well for this card.
Beautiful!! Congratulations on getting your cards published. They are both fantastic.

Hello Rosemary,
congratulations on your publication !!
my magazine has not arrived yet, so I will be extra on the lookout for your cards in this magazine !
It is a special feeling to see your own cards published in such a nice publication !! :)
I like how you combined the alice stamps with the oxford impressions stamp and how you used "my" technique as an inspiration.
Thats what blogging is all about : enjoy what others make, share your own creations and learn from each other.
Thanks for linking to my blog on ATT :)
greetings from belgium

Thanks so much.
Oh and everybody, I get to share a page with Debbie as she is also published on page 116. Congats, Debbie.
Thanks Rosemary! I was so thrilled to be on the same page with both you and Penny Bennington.
Stampington did such a beautiful job with the lay out, didn't they? Can't wait to see more of your published work:)
Rosemary, I tried to leave a bouquet for you before but for some reason it did not "take" but heartfelt congratulations. Beautiful work and such a pleasure to see a name I recognize!
Thanks so much, Charmaine.
